New PlayStation Games Announced 2025 & Beyond

The game awards concluded today and Team Asobi’s Astro Bot is now the official Game of the Year award winner of 2024. While the entire show featured many new games, reveals and award genres, here are the top PlayStation announcements you want to watch..

Borderlands 4 – Planet Kairos

Borderlands 4 was quickly teased when 2 K’s ambition of thinking Borderlands was on a roll with its movie release featuring some of Hollywood’s well-known stars. Unfortunately, as known they may be, they failed at making it even a bearable movie adaptation.

To save face, Borderlands 4 was quickly teased with a tiny, new engine teaser.

Finally, at The Game Awards hosted by Geoff Keighley, Borderlands 4 got its first look, featuring a very dangerous planet with Pandora’s true power.

Borderlands 4 will feature a four-player co-op, and a gameplay reveal in early 2025.

Helldivers 2 – Omens of Tyranny

Making a helluva comeback, the Illuminate factions have returned once again. Purged from Helldivers 1, the infamous zombie-making creatures have returned as a threat in the galactic war, and are going to be at the doorstep this time around.

The update is already live! And if you like gaming hardware, then you should be excited to know that the Helldivers 2 Limited Edition controller has just been announced.

Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet

Naughty Dog is finally back. Right after announcing the PC release date for TLOU2, they have finally revealed the new big IP they have been working on. They have been working on this for the past 4 years, and are preparing to share more in the coming time.

But for now, all you need to know is that this Naughty Dog’s wildest and most creative story yet.

Witcher 4 – Ciri takes the Lead

And to wrap it all up, one of the biggest reveals of the Game Awards is the Witcher 4 announcement. As of now, the title is the only thing that has been announced with a cinematic that focuses on lore. Therefore, it’s safe to assume that this is just the beginning and a lot is still to come.

But what it does confirm is that instead of Geralt, Ciri will be taking the lead in this game, which also lets us know the canon ending of Witcher 3.
